Founded in 1979, Juan Carlos Vargas Sr. created VSI in his 100-square-foot garage on the foundation of skills, passion, and hard work. As Juan Carlos established himself as a quality workman, word of mouth quickly increased the demand for his craftsmanship. In 1991, the need to transform the one-person shop into a full-fledged company was essential.
While VSI continues to grow and grow throughout Southern California, we adhere to our initial philosophy: a company you can trust to build to your specifications. Our catalog has expanded to provide many options for our clients, from kitchens to laundry rooms, wine cellars to media units, and endless possibilities. We do not take “customization “ lightly and remain one of the only businesses to custom-cut and build to order. Utilizing some of the most advanced manufacturing tools, we design, cut, and finish material to your needs and specifications.
VSI remains family-owned and operated, with Juan Carlos as CEO, Marco Vargas as COO and PMP, J.C. as director of design and sales, and Elena Prudenciano as administrative supervisor.
